Total Surface : 2,5 ouvrés (1 ouvrée = 4 ares 28)
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Average Age of the Vines : 20 years old
Nature of the Soil : The vineyards are planted upon limestone and chalky-clay from the Jurassic period: white oolite from the Bathonian can be found at the top of the hillside, and limestone formed with fossils at the bottom of the slope. Exposed eastward, it is at about 250 meters in altitude.
Harvesting : Manual only
Average Production : 600 Bouteilles.
Wine Characteristics :: As a general rule, this Morey 1er Cru offers hues of intense carmine with violet reflections. The nose is very typical to Pinot Noir, offering primary aromas of red and black fruits, like cherry and blackcurrant. The second nose brings notes of eau-de-vie fruits as well as some floral touches. On the palate, it’s a sophisticated wine, well built and well-defined. The tannins lack neither finesse nor elegance.
